Writing this Article a thought has occurred to me hundreds maybe thousands of readers are about to make a decision based on what I write here. Maybe I am being a little to optimistic, unfortunately the question still remains with tastes changing as they are is beef jerky dying.

People living in the northern regions of Australia know this kind of jerky only too well. Wild camels are mainly used in the making of this kind of jerky. Camel jerky has attained its share of popularity, mostly among the people who are looking for a variation in taste.

People accord various benefits to Camel jerky, mainly that it is a much leaner meat, which means it carries less calories. Also, since camels are basically animals of the dry areas, their jerky is bound to be drier and crisper than jerky from beef.

Also, camel jerky is known for its taste. Most people regard the taste of camel jerky as much better than beef jerky. In some cases, people are changing over from beef jerky to camel jerky just because they are looking for a change of taste. For such people, camel jerky becomes a good alternative.

Even though there is a massive difference in animals it does not make this type of jerky an acquired taste it is closer to the mainstream than other alternatives.

Camel jerky has carved its niche today. People are asking for it, and supermarket shelves the world over have begun stocking it. Some people do feel that this rise in its popularity will mean that beef jerky will be edged out from the market someday.

The actual answer is NO, beef jerky is going to stay but you must never let your taste buds down and get out and try something different , specifically camel jerky, our gut feeling is you won’t be disappointed.
